Hi!  My name is Patti West. I am an artist trying to make a living doing what I love in New Baltimore, Michigan. I would have it no other way.  I  wouldn’t be happy with a “normal” job.  There are ups and downs to what I do, but that just makes it more exciting and the good times that much better!!!

Although I’ve always fancied myself a painter or sculptor ( that’s what I went to school for), I’ve dabbled in jewelry making for many years.  I remember having such fun making bracelets, necklaces, and beaded hair pieces when I was a child.  I would draw pictures of elaborate clothing and jewelry designs and sometimes would actually make them.  I just LOVED creating no matter what it was!  I started making jewelry full-time 8 years ago.  I began showing and selling my work to family and friends.  My reputation grew fast by word of mouth.  The quality and care taken in my pieces and my unique designs kept people coming back.  I now have valued customers who have been with me since the beginning.  They allow me my creative freedom and trust my talent.  I am so greatful to them for being so supportive!

I dove right in doing craft shows and art fairs.  I started out just doing the small ones and progressively have worked up to participating in the best art shows in Michigan.  I really enjoy having the one-on- one contact with my customers.  Many new designs are inspired by my customers ideas. I do a lot of custom designing at my shows which makes my customers feel special-because they are!!!  Most importantly, I love to see how happy and beautiful people feel when they try on my jewelry.  That is by far the most rewarding aspect of what I do.

Ultimately I would like my business to be exclusively in bridal jewelry design.  Although,  I will always take care of my valued  customers.  I am studying gemology now and would like to learn new skills and techniques.  I am always working and striving to improve myself  both as an artist and as a person in general.  I hope that you will become a part of Patrician Art.  I believe that every piece of jewelry I make has a rightful home.  I look forward to designing beautiful jewelry just for you!
