Bracelets

Inspired by the swirls of color in this natural Abalone shell (1 1/4″ x 7/8″), I created a copper cuff with swirls of color to match. Colors in the copper are achieved by heat treatment. Abalone is bezel set in copper to the band that is almost 1 1/2″ wide & size is adjustable. Abalone is a material I love to use. This bracelet is very unique! I started with one of my favorite components-the hammered copper disc. I bezel set a Hematite cabochon in the disc & then painstakingly soldered sterling silver beads around it. Disc is then soldered to a copper band with a hammered edge. I oxidized the disc to bring out detail & texture. Band is just over 1 1/4″ and size is adjustable to fit most. Disc in front measures just over 2 inches. All copper is treated with an anti-tarnish lacquer. *Because of the reflective, shiny quality of the stone it was pretty difficult to photograph it without my reflection..sorry.

I used a bright sky blue piece of Turquoise ( 22mm x 11mm) in this cuff. Bezel set in shiny 14kt gold fill to my Smokey Gold band. The band is Nu Gold Brass that I have etched a design in & then oxidized to bring out the detail & create the antique look. In this etching process I actually paint a design free hand and then that design is etched out of the metal creating a relief pattern. Band is 1″ wide and size is adjustable to fit most. I used a beautiful teardrop shaped Larimar from the Caribbean measuring 5/8″ x 3/8″. I bezel set the gemstone in 14kt gold fill to a Nu Gold Brass organic background that I shaped & hammered. I added sterling silver decoration. Band is hammered Nu Gold Brass with the warmth & richness of gold- just over 5/8 inch wide and adjustable to fit most. Contact me with any concerns on size. Made To Order! This great texture is made by first hammering the copper. Then I apply a chemical patina that achieves the color green/blue that copper takes naturally as it ages. I used a piece of Druzy Agate ( 18mm x 13mm ) with really great crystal formations in this cuff bracelet. Bezel set in 14kt gold fill to my organic shaped and hammered Bronze background ( 1 1/4″ x 3/4″) and band. Band is just over 3/4″ at widest and size is adjustable although I made this cuff on the smaller side. Contact me with any concerns about sizing. 14kt gold filled swirl detail. This cuff is quite unusual and rather large. I used an awesome piece of Druzy Agate (2 1/2″ x 2 1/4″) with amazing light purple-ish crystals. The Agate itself is burgundy and black striped. I bezel set a piece of red fire Ammolite in the center of the hollow of crystals. All set in copper to a hammered edge copper band that is 3″ wide and size is adjustable to fit most. Band is 1 1/4″ wide and size is adjustable to fit most. 14kt golf filled wire and sterling silver bead decoration. Metal is brought to a high polish & than sealed with an anti-tarnish lacquer. I used a beautiful piece of Labradorite ( 3/4″ x 1/2″ ) as the center of this cuff bracelet. Bezel set in 14kt gold fill to my Smokey Gold band. The band is Nu Gold Brass that has been etched, then oxidized, to create this effect. Etching is a process of removing parts of the metal to create texture or a “relief” pattern.
